Thai Lucky Nail Colours for 2027 (BE 2570) by Birth Day, with Real Nail Photos

Every year as December comes round, many people in Thailand start thinking about which nail colour to wear into the new year: something pretty that is also lucky for the day of the week they were born. Search for the 2570 (2027) lucky colours now, though, and you only find last year's lists. This guide says plainly that the astrologers' 2570 lists are not out yet and when they usually appear, and in the meantime which colours several Thai sources agree are good for your birth day and which to avoid, with real photos from our salon for every day.

We checked the lucky-colour lists that Thai people read their horoscopes from. On the day this was written (28 September 2026) none of them had published a full set of 2570 lucky colours by birth day. If a site tells you it has them already, check who made the prediction and which year it really belongs to.

Last year shows the pattern. The 2569 lucky nail colour lists came out around 9 to 11 December 2025, and the general lucky colours followed on 27 December. So the 2570 lists will most likely start appearing around December 2026. When they do, we will compare them and update this page.

Where do the Thai birth day colours come from?

The day colours everyone in Thailand knows, red for Sunday, yellow for Monday, pink for Tuesday, green for Wednesday, orange for Thursday, light blue for Friday and purple for Saturday, are not new. It is said that they come from the body colours of the nine planetary deities, and that a custom of wearing a colour for each day already shows up in the reign of King Rama II, in Sunthorn Phu's poem Sawatdi Raksa. The shades we use today were made clearer and more standard around the reign of King Rama V.

The day colour is only the first layer. Thai astrology also has the thaksa system, which splits the colours of each birth day into 8 positions, each one supporting a different part of life. The three people ask about most are:

• Det (power): authority, reputation and progress at work. Good for days when you need people to listen, like a presentation.
• Si (fortune): luck, money, charm and blessings. If you want lucky nails for money, look at this colour.
• Kalakini: obstacles and bad luck. This is the colour people avoid.

One more nice point from the traditional lists: wearing your kalakini colour does not mean something bad will happen, you simply will not stand out to other people. If you truly love that colour, there is no need to worry too much. Lucky colours are a belief, not a proven formula, but the confidence you feel every time you look down at your hands is real.

• Day colour red
• Power colour pink
• Fortune colour green
• Avoid light blue and navy (all 3 sources agree)

Red is the colour that makes Sunday people look their strongest, and glossy bright red on every nail never goes out of style. For luck and money, follow the fortune colour: a deep bottle green works for the office every day. Or wear red on nine nails and green on the ring finger to get both.

• Power colour green
• Fortune colour black
• Avoid red, on most lists (one list says orange instead; to be safe, avoid both)

Yellow can feel too loud on nails for many people. The answer is a soft pearly yellow like the one in the photo, closer to a light creamy gold, which makes the hands look brighter. The fortune colour, black, looks expensive as glossy black or black cat eye and works well for an evening out.

• Avoid white (all 3 agree); most lists also give cream and yellow

Pink has the widest range of any colour, from a nude pink for work to the bright pink in the photo. Tuesday people who want to boost their money luck can go for peach or brick orange, both of which suit Thai skin tones. One thing to watch is a white French tip: if you follow the kalakini rule, switch the tip to nude or gold.

• Day colour green
• Power colour orange, on most lists (one list says yellow)
• Fortune colour the three sources do not agree at all: one says iridescent, another light green, the third grey and black
• Avoid pink (all 3 agree)

Green already belongs to Wednesday. An emerald cat eye has a line of light running down the middle of each nail, like jade, and looks precious. Since the sources disagree on the fortune colour, pick the one you believe in, or stay with the day colour green, which is the safest choice. As for orange, the power colour, one 2569 yearly list told Wednesday daytime people to avoid it, so if you really want orange, keep it to one nail.

Lucky nail colours 2570 for people born on Wednesday night

By Thai belief, anyone born on a Wednesday from 18:00 until before 06:00 on Thursday counts as Wednesday night, the day of Rahu. This is the hardest set to find: Most lists do not separate Wednesday night, so we compared the two that do.

• Colours both put on the good side white and the green family (one list gives light green as the main colour; the other lists green, black, brown and white)
• Avoid the two disagree: one says yellow, the other says orange, gold and deep orange, and the first even lists orange as a power colour

One thing we have to point out: the 2569 yearly lists, in the parts where they agreed, told Wednesday night people to avoid light green and yellow, even though the traditional lists put light green on the good side. That leaves white as the only colour nobody argues about. A glossy milky white like the one in the photo looks clean and expensive and goes with any outfit. Orange, gold and yellow are best skipped if you would rather not take the risk.

A full hand of bright orange like the one in the photo puts you in a good mood. For fun, make one nail yellow with a tiny flower. Be a little careful with the fortune colour, red: the 2569 yearly lists, in the parts where they agreed, told Thursday people to avoid red and reddish purple. If you would rather not take the risk, stay with orange, the day colour, or light blue and navy, the power colours.

• Day colour light blue
• Power colour white
• Fortune colour pink
• Avoid the three sources do not agree: one says iridescent, another light green, the third grey and black

Friday people are lucky: all three good colours are popular nail colours. Light blue looks clean, pink looks sweet and white looks neat. Wear light blue on every nail with a small painted bow as in the photo, or alternate pink and white on one hand. As for the colour to avoid, if you want to skip every version, leave out light green, grey, black and iridescent shades for now.

A mangosteen purple cat eye gives Saturday people real charm, with light moving across the nail like a galaxy. The fortune colour, navy, looks like a night sky as a cat eye. The two go well together, so you can alternate purple and navy on the same hand.

Day colours follow Thai tradition; power, fortune and kalakini colours are compared across three traditional lists; Wednesday night is compared between the two lists that include it. These are traditional colours, not a prediction for 2570.

What will the 2570 lucky colours look like? A guess based on the real 2569 lists

The question everyone has is this: if I get my nails done now, will the colours all change once the 2570 lists come out? So we took the colours to avoid in the 2569 lists, the part where the lists agreed, and compared them with the traditional kalakini colours in the table above. The result is interesting.

• An exact match on 4 days. Sunday avoids light blue and navy, Monday red, Tuesday white and cream, Wednesday daytime pink.
• Wednesday night. The 2569 lists said to avoid yellow, the same as the traditional list, but added light green too.
• Thursday and Saturday. The 2569 lists added new colours to avoid, but the traditional list kept its own too: black for Thursday and green for Saturday.
• What changed a lot were the good colours. Yearly lists usually split them into work, money and love instead of power and fortune, and each outlet gives quite different colours.

From this, a fair guess is that if the 2570 lists are made the same way as last year's, most of the colours to avoid will stay close to tradition, while the colours for work, money and love are the part most likely to change with the year and with each astrologer. This is a guess from one year of data, not an astrologer's prediction. If the real lists turn out differently, we will say so right here.

Getting your nails done before the lists come out: how to pick a colour you will not need to redo

If you want new year nails from late December and would rather not wait for the lists, there are 3 simple rules.

• Choose a colour the traditional lists put on the good side and last year's list did not tell you to avoid. The day colour passes this test for almost every day, apart from the few colours flagged in each day's section, such as red for Thursday and light green for Wednesday night.
• Avoid the kalakini colour that all three sources agree on. This matters most, because last year's yearly lists still avoided these colours.
• Go for a cat eye, an ombre or a French tip. The same colour but with more depth, fine for both work and new year parties, with no need to redo it after the 1st.
